The short version
GolfSimple collects only what's needed to make the app work — your scores, your Google sign-in, and friend connections you choose to add. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising. Ever. Your information exists solely to power your experience in the app.
GolfSimple is an independent golf score tracking application developed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.
We collect only the information necessary to provide the core features of GolfSimple:
We do not collect your location, payment information, device contacts, or any data beyond what is listed above.
Every piece of data we collect is used for one purpose: making GolfSimple work for you. Specifically:
Your data is never analysed, profiled, or used for any purpose beyond the direct operation of the app.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party — period. This includes advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, and any other external service.
Google Sign-In is facilitated by Google's own authentication service. When you sign in, Google's standard authentication flow applies; however, GolfSimple receives only your basic profile information (name and email) and does not share it onward.
GolfSimple contains no advertising and is not connected to any ad network. Your data is never used to build advertising profiles, deliver targeted ads, or track your behaviour for commercial purposes.
Your data is stored securely and accessible only to you and the GolfSimple application. We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorised access or disclosure.
GolfSimple is developed and operated from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. If you are located outside Canada, please be aware your data may be processed in Canada in accordance with Canadian privacy law.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us using the information below and we will process your request promptly.
GolfSimple is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of GolfSimple after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
